Session 8 - March 20, 2021

Page history last edited by Bolthy 3 years ago

Camera opens to ongoing violence.

At the Bloke and Tackle, there are screaming cats from the alley as a giant hummingbird comes flying at Molly with a rapier, slicing Molly for chimerical damage, then wheels around for a second strike that Molly doesn't quite dodge.

Greg grab the hummingbird and restrains her. She says, "Ready to dance?" and after reciting "Pop Goes the Weasel" they vault through the air. Greg maintains his grip as they sail over the trees and nearby lake. And then they're falling to the ground. Greg tries to put her between him and the ground, but in the process she escapes his grip and flies off while he plummets.

Molly runs to try and catch Greg and breaks his fall slightly.

There's a tittering laugh, a whistle, and the sound of wings departing. One of the enemy trolls flees through the window, tripping over it. Other trolls are not moving, but others are leaving unnaturally fast. They get on their bikes to leave, and Greg clotheslines one.

They survey the damage, and there are many incapacitated/unconscious enemies. The troll that tripped and fell is less blue, no longer has his horns, and is confused about where he is. He gets on his bike and leaves in a different direction than the others.

The friendly soldiers also seem a little dazed. Molly gets something to tie up the bad guys and sends her mortal patrons home. Greg feels a bit more banal after seeing the troll turn mortal.

Meanwhile, at the restaurant, the baron and the chef have both been abducted. Carmen jumps into the kitchen to make a tres leches cake that will heal the group. Carmen tries to milk Liliana for information, and she suggests Burbridge would know more. Burbridge blames this on the "Unseelie Cause" and Liliana suggests that it's Burbridge is behind it.

Ram comes up and gives Liliana a rose and says, "Thank you for the spirit of cooperation." The tension is broken and Liliana leaves. Burbridge tasks Carmen with cleaning up. Ram uses her flamethrower to hot glue the window back together. By the power of boggan magic, it all gets done quickly.

At the bar, Molly tries to connect her customer with the satyr she'd been flirting with. The two potential lovers realize that the satyr lives in Oregon and a long distant relationship is complicated. She gets depressed and starts drinking.

Greg and Ram text back and forth to catch up on details, and after Carmen is done they hop into Ram's van and head off to the Bloke and Tackle.

Carmen calls her granddaughter, Penny, and checks on her. Penny is in a strange part of town and doesn't remember how she got there, suggesting that she's been overrun by banality.

They arrive and start helping clean up the bar as well. They've brought some of the remaining cake to help them heal up as well. Greg eats up, but Molly is too drunk to eat it.

They compare notes about what happened, and Ram gets excited about the modified jukebox.

Greg escorts Molly to bed. Carmen goes to talk to the tied-up boggarts. She learns that they were a distraction to keep the escort busy. She tricks them into believing that the duke wasn't captured. They don't want to be turned over to the duke and offer to clean up the bar. When Carmen tells them that's done, they offer to clean up the other place they were supposed to go: the Stage.

3xp

+1 to Carmen for healing

+1 to Molly for catching the troll
